Based on one of my all-time favorite games, Streets of Rage.
This is Adam Hunter, my favorite character from the series. Unfortuantely, he is only playable in the first game, so I normally use Axel Stone in the others.
Streets of Rage was a beat-'em-up on Sega's systems, that was made as a rival to Capcom's Final Fight. I always preferred SoR to Final Fight (even though I'm also a fan of FF - I just bought the first game on SNES and the latest, Final Fight Streetwise on PS2, this year). Unfortunately, Sega (especially Sega of America) seems to completely have forgotten and/or stopped caring about the series. Each time news of a remake, rerelease, or new chapter to the series is announced, we get screwed out of it. Man!
Anyway, if you're not familiar with SoR, check out http://anipedia.wikispaces.com/Streets+of+Rage

I love the Streets of Rage series. It's a real shame Sega abandoned it. Still there's a fan made Streets of Rage game. It's still a work in progress but it is available in a fully playable (but not bug free) state. Find it at http://www.bombergames.net/sorr_project/ and finally be able to play as Adam again. The game effectively merges all three games with some extra additions put in.
