A Friend for Grim

I made this piece for a contest on DeviantArt. I had to make a friend for Grim (the wolf character). I made Seth, the cat/dragon... thing. I named the species "Silth". Here is his profile!

I named him Seth after the Egyptian god (God of the desert and storms, the counterpart to Ra). Seth is a young Silth, a breed of creature that was originally genetically spliced by humans. They were meant to be a replacement for cats and dogs because of their short, non-shedding fur. But silthes reproduced very quickly and as they bred it was discovered that they all had very unique personalities, and were often hostile. The scientists who created the Silthes tried to exterminate them to hide their mistake, and the Silthes were nearly driven to extinction. Some manged to escape, however, and formed colonies in the wild. Since humans have been gone for 300 years, silths like Seth have been able to evolve, and have become remarkably intellegent.
Seth was separated from his family during an earthquake and has been searching for them ever since. He is wise beyond his years, and Silthes often are, but is still young in body and heart.
