My interest in Pokemon comes and goes, but my interest in monsters shall never wane. I've always had a fascination with monsters ever since I was little. Why? Because there's no strict physical definition for a monster.
Just the other day while I was channel-hopping, I came across yet another Pokemon-based movie called 'Lucario and the Mystery of Mew'. I decided to watch it to pass the time and instantly took to Lucario. He's one kick-@$$ beastie, with the whole Anubi-esque feel about him.
The idea for this picture just appeared in my head when I sat down to draw in photoshop, but I wanted to break away from the usual art style that pokemon are drawn in. As you can see, I experimented with fur brushes (and perhaps gotten a little carried away with them ^_^')
I owe thanks towards ~Fatal-mantis85 from DeviantArt for her helpful tutorial, and also ~samantharobinson for her tutorial on how-to-shade-in-stuff-using-the-multiply-function.

This man gets professional grooming! I can see it in his well-bred confident eyes! >:O ...and in his perfect fur.
