I won't name names, but someone said that I looked like a guy in one of my drawings. Oh well then, I guess I'd better start drawing myself with huge eyelashes, an impossibly slender frame and an enormous chest to make it more obvious that I'm female, eh?
Hang on. I've got a brilliant idea! How about... NO. A great big fat NO. I do not look like that and I do not intend on lying to myself. I do not believe in flattering myself when I draw my cartoony alter-ego. My hair is and probably always will be that messy. I'm not the most slim creature on earth, but do I give a damn? I have unusually muscular arms that came from constant fighting with my older brother for the first 15 years of my life (my arms totally freaked the other girls out in my high school gym class XD). I don't care if I don't look girly enough for some. I like the way I look.
So, ladies and gentlemen, whenever you draw yourself (in a completely honest manner) and somebody makes a bad comment on the way you look, give them a big hearty STFU because you're absolutely beautiful no matter what.
