This is the beginnings of an anime portrait of my sweet friend Ji Young, for her birthday. She's a foreign exchange student from South Korea, and when she came up to me and asked me if I would draw her for her birthday, I couldn't resist. I don't normally do gifts for people, because I have so much other stuff to do, but I really wanted her to have something to remember me by. :) I've shown her what I have so far, and she's very happy. <br />

Just the line art for now! I wanted to scan it in while it was just line art in case I wanted to go back and try to colour it digitally later. For her, I think I'm going to colour it in Copics and colour pencils. I want her to have something nice and bright looking in person. :D<br />

This isn't exactly a mirror image of her, but I think it definately captures her sweet, playful nature. Oh, and she's holding a plushie of one of her favourite musicians, Hide from X-Japan! It's hard to tell right now, but once it's coloured it'll be hard to ignore that head of bright pink hair. The Pink Spider returns!! <br />
