Skippee!! I am so happy with this. And what made doing it even better was her reaction!!

A birthday gift for my friend Ji Young. She is an exchange student from South Korea, so I was glad to be able to make her something to hold onto. She asked me if I would draw her for her birthday, so I agreed. I very much couldn't resist her. Look how cute she is!!

I have all these lovely Copic markers, and I haven't gotten very much use out of them thus far, so I thought now would be a good time to use them. I still need some practice (as well as more colours), but I think it came out very nice for my first serious try. I must say that I am in love with the pants though. Best pants I've ever done! I suck at clothes.

Also, the little doll she's holding is a Hide plushie, from X-Japan. She likes Hide, so I wanted her holding a Hide plushie. It's good timing too, because this past Sunday, May 2nd, was the anniversary of his death. Rest in peace, good friend.

Lastly, the writing you see says, "Ji Young, Happy Birthday". My other Korean friend, Ha-Jin, told it to me. Yay for foreign languages!

Time Elapsed: 10ish hours
Size: 9"x12"
Materials Used: Copic Markers, prismacolour pencils, white acrylic paint, gold acrylic paint
