Silence of the Sleeptime

The poem is original and supposed to relate to the characters. The man with the ears is Lain and the boy is his son Ramaku. The first line is from a poem by Frost I believe. My literature teacher from a year or so ago mentioned it in passing and I liked it so I wrote it down.
 
The story behind the characters is, to put it short, Ramaku's mother took him and left his father to try and hide his father's identity. But she died soon after and Ramaku was sent to his father's care anyway.
