This is a charcoal drawing I did quickly to make up more sheets in my expressive art project, so naturally there are many mistakes. I know the ear is too small, and his lips are odd, but it's not as noticable without the photograph to compare it to, lol. No idea who the guy actually is, but my friend loved looking at it when I was drawing him, lol.

AeolianModeNot bad! But remember, this is a quote of mine that is helpful when drawing anything:

"When drawing, the artist must cast aside what he knows is true about his subject, and draw what he sees." ~Aeolian Mode

The point is, you know that up close an eye is very detailed, has a highlight and everything. But do you see that in your reference? Therefore, you must pretend you know nothing about what you're drwaing when viewed close up or in different angles, and you must draw what you SEE.

So, I hope you keep that min mind when you draw things. ;)

For the image, yes, what you pointed out was generally what you missed most of, but otherwise it is a good drawing, it looks like the photo reference. BUt my biggest complaint is you seem to ahve given him an anime eye. <_<

Also, the right side of his face is a bit too wide.
