Description
International Consolidated, the official smallarms manufacturer for the Republic of the Pacific Rim, proudly introduces the future of large frame service revolvers: The Gladiator .38rjr. Building upon the proven success of IC's innovative and award winning 'Breach Break' loading system, the Gladiator is, simply, the ultimate in revolver technology. Offering 8 rounds of ammunition in a lightweight cylinder, the gun is the embodiment of functionality. The Gladiator is also remarkable for being the first handgun to fire IC's revolutionary new round, the .38 calibre Ram Jet Round. This new round is the same dimensions as a standard .38 bullet, however, due to it's exotic performance, it cannot be fired from a traditional .38 calibre handgun. This is due to the fact that, although the bullet leaves the shell casing in the normal fashion, once it enters the barrel of the gun the bullet activates an internal fuel supply, engaging the miniature ramjet and accelerates to 3100 fps within the first 10 feet after leaving the barrel. The bullet is made from high density depleted uranium alloy, which means that bullet weighs four times as much as a standard .38 calibre bullet, giving the round incredible stopping power. The effective range of the Ram Jet Round is 100 metres, nearly twice the effective range of any other .38 calibre round. In all, the Gladiator is the best choice in personal handgaun technology.
