Were you scared?

This is my first picture not using photoshop in a long time. Instead I used Gimp, which is actually a pretty good free graphics editor.

Anyway, this picture is of Naruku and Kenshin (yet again) in a scene from one of my fanfics entitled "If You Want Rainbows."

I'm pretty stuck on writing the next and final chapter of it, but while I was re-reading the most recent chapter, I impusively sketched this out. I liked it enough to ink and scan it and even spent the evening coloring it. Even if it is a little half-assed, I kind of like this drawing nonetheless.

However, I don't like Kenshin's expression. I am notoriously bad at drawing expressions, so it doesn't surprise me that Kenshin's concern came out more like nasuea.

The title of this picture comes from the dialogue between Kenshin and Naruku at the time this picture is supposed to be portraying.

I think I'll be drawing a lot more these days, now that I have a scanner (well it's my sister's, whatever.) The only problem is that my free photoshop trial has expired and I miss it! It makes cging SO easy and so great. I also used to to improve the quality of the scan, since most scans come out kind of crappily. I'll either have to start thinking about traditional media (which i know nothing about--I'm not an art student here!) or actually buy photoshop. We'll see.
