Despite the horrible color choices I gave to the pirate girl, I'm pretty proud of this picture! I drew this the second time too! (the faces are a tad bit bigger) But I'm just satisfied I got this down the second time! (because I definitely wasn't drawing this the third time) Also I messed up last time on their skin colors. I have these markers I love to death right? But it depends on the type of paper I use to draw on too I guess. Last time I used this Orche beige color for Zarina's first appearance and that looked decent for skin color. The second time (meaning the first time I drew this) I used a flesh color. You would think flesh would be a perfect skin tone color right? WRONG. It turned out super duper orange for the both of them. And Jim Hawkins skin color is pale as Ivory almost. So the second I drew this (Thank god it came out alright) I used a color called "Biscuit" and that turned out beautifully I think. (coming from a girl who doesn't have that many skin tone colors to use or choose from ) I wanna go buy more of these le plume markers tho because I know they have a "Shell white" tone color too. Most of the skin tone colors I own are like a orange color. But they are from the Grey set I got at con.
Besides that, I'm happy with the inking too. (I need more pens too for inking. I'm running out of my micro pens ) So more sketchbooks more inking pens too. But the first time I drew this picture I messed up on Zarina's nose.
I was all in all trying to make her look Treasure Planet style. And I'm pretty proud with how it came out. ^^ Also I'm very proud of how Jim came out (just ignore the little mess up with his hair) ^^; I tried lightening it. But it's no use. Also that's how I'm going to be signing my work too. A heart and just my two initials. I also need to make sort of a trade mark stamp too. Maybe just of a heart or something... But ya with a few slight mistakes in the second time, I'm pretty happy with how this came out.
Jim hawkins belongs to (c.) Disney
Zarina belongs to (c.) me
(I also adjusted the blurriness so the colors can hopefully pop a bit more thank goodness for photoshop)
