"what is it Blackthorn? Why are you looking at me like that?" Oceanpaws asked worried that she had upset him
"It's nothing really just that She-wolf had the same look in her eyes the caring and longing that you just had when she told me she would always protect me is all." Blackthorn said looking at his paws
"Caring and longing" she said mostly to her-self and thought' Well he has always been able to see things others don't wait... did he say...'
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE SAID 'I WILL ALWAYS PROTECT YOU'!!"she said yelling at him without meaning to
"That's what she said. I can't change what she said or what I heard." he told her in such a soft and kind voice that both Oceanpaws and Desert Sun just stared at him
"I remem- What?" Blackthorn saw them staring and stopped what he was going to say confused
"Nothing what were you saying?" Desert Sun asked
"Never mind. I'm going to the lake." he said as he got up to leave

"Blackthorn! Blackthorn where are you?" Oceanpaws yelled as she came to the lake
"I'm over here Oceanpaws." Blackthorn said just loud enough for her to hear him
"Why are you way out here? No one ever comes the whole way out here." Oceanpaws said as she sat down next to him he was staring out over the lake seemingly at nothing
"I know. That's why i came out here, it's where i always come to think and be by my-self." he told her as looked in her eyes and his dream flashed in his mind again this time he did see the golden wolf's eyes...
"Hey are you ok?" Oceanpaws was poking him with here paw
"Yeah i'm fine, I jus-" he was looking at the water and thought he saw the golden wolf's reflection were Oceanpaws would be. He blinked a few times and it was her's again.
"I remember her eye color now it", he looked Oceanpaws directly in her eyes and continued," they were your's."
