now for the small info i have

Mendly (wolf spirit) is about as old as youko kurama, and did some jobs with him, only ones that also benefited her as well of course, though unlike most (youko included) she was not cold or mean to demons or humans in fact she enjoyed others company as long as they could stand her cheery playfulness. like youko she was hurt really bad(though not by the spirit peps that you see near the end of the series but by another demon that didn't want to share) and escaped to the human realm and become Melody
Melody (human) has much of the same personality that her true self has but gets irritated a bit easier
