Yay, Phantom of the Opera! I finally uploaded a tribute. :D
First, let me say that I really don't know quite what's going on in this picture. It started with Erik looking all smug and evil. My head said that he needed something to be smug and evil AT, so I plotted drawing Christine and Raoul. Raoul looks like an adult version of Toboe (Wolf's Rain) with a large nose, and he's faithfully keeping his hands at the level of his eyes. Christine looks like a woman who's been drugged and beaten a few times--which was an accident. I also got the bright idea to make her dress yellow. So now she looks like BELLE. : D ...I can't draw female heads to save my life.
BUT. I love how Erik came out. I've finally captured exactly how he looks in my head when I read the book. I think he's supposed to be all..."Pale-creepy-I'm-a-skeleton!", but whenever I visualized the term "death's head" I thought of an Egyptian mummy, because I'm an Egypt-dork like that. Besides, every dead thing that I find in the woods behind my house is usually somewhere around that color. ;D
Characters (c) Gaston Leroux
Created for no other reason than personal enjoyment of the subjects. Colored because my Roseart pencils needed a workout.

I love how you drew Erik. It's wonderful to see people who've actually read the book.

WOOO FIRST COMMENT!!!!! This is really well done. I love the look on Erik's face. It's awsome. You could seriously be a great comic book artist. This is a great pic. Christine does look like she's been drugged and beaten a few times. I think that's probably what the argument is all about. Raoul is like "don't you touch my woman you freak" and Erik is all "Woo, what you gonna do about it, Fop?"
Lol....sorry I'm a little nuts right now. Anyways, great pic!!
