Alone Once More:.

Now that I've opened my eyes
There is nothing left to see
 
You've come and gone with the wind
And still i stand her cold and dazed
 
That traitorous though tugs at my mind
Do i blame you for my solitude?
 
But my strength wanes and my anger fled
and i can do nought, but wish and regret
 
How often had you called my name?
When did i close you out?
 
When that wind blows soft and gently
Your welcome scent still lingers in the air.
 
Sometimes if i close my eyes and open my heart
I can see you there, how you used to be.
 
Not even the bitter tears that gather
can obscure your face and spirit
 
But as that wind turns harsh and bites
My hope and faith evades me.
 
So still i stands her cold and dazed
and your memory rends my heart always.
 
 
 
My best friend moved away, and i felt so alone and i knew i had taken our friendship for granted.
