Description
Description
Designed for Stratadrake's Anthro Limbo contest in the forums.

This reptile anthro is a female, posing in the nude for an artist to draw. (Not that we can really tell.) Traditionally, females would wear something to cover their tail, which is their private area. Females of this type of reptile anthro carry their tails curled up, somewhat like chameleons. The tail acts as an excellent counter-balance while in movement, making every step like a dance.
Therefore, grace is highly prized by females in this society.
Males of this anthro species have a much shorter tail, and have no neck ruff. However, they tend to be brilliantly colored, even more so than this female, who is considered to possess beautiful coloring.

I have come to realise that I can not draw. I love the description. ^_^

Actually, the official title for my contest is "Original Anthro Contest", the limbo bit was just an attention-getting tactic early on. ;)
Okay then, time for evaluation...
Head: 4/5. Pretty good, only the eye patterns were a little distracting.
Torso: 4/5. Good, although she looks a little plump around the hip area (expectant mother maybe?)
Arms: 4/5. What's that polite, elegant word for scrawny? I don't know, but good job with the hands.
Wings: N/A, +4pts
Legs: 5/5. Detailed, and considering the pose, they feel well balanced.
Tail: 4/5. Excellent, only the hip area bugs me a little.
Pelt: 5/5.
Decor: 4/5 for the frills, and the variation in scales.
Technique: 4/5 Excellent scales, but the lined texture doesn't quite do justice for the frontal area.
Other: 5/5 on the description
Total: 43/50, B+
...And compared to the other leading entries, that's within the margin of error so it's basically much tied with DG-Sama's and the rest.
If anyone else is interested in the contest, this is the URL for it:

And we do have other contests running as well, if anyone is interested in checking them out, just drop by the forums:
