Actually, the washed-out look was on purpose. At that point, from perspective, the scales would be so small, they'd become a blur. Well, that's at least what I think.Thanks for the comments, both of you.

Oh, and hey (thought you'd get just a one-word comment from me? lol), upon close inspection I notice that some of the details are pretty faint, for example the scale pattern on the tails seems to wash out near the end. You know how to fix that, right?Oh well, I say this guy doesn't need wings to begin with. The detail's great and the contrast is excellent. No artistic suggestions from me this time; I think "wow" pretty well summarizes how I can respond to it.
