Rather an old sketch of Marino I drew back at camp, and did a quick profile for her for fun.

First time using layers in photoshop. Used about 8(one for each color). Does this look any better than my usual coloring(of which I do not use layers)?
Also I added a frame. :3

;D WOW! First time with layers?!~ xD Well actually, I don't use layers AT ALL. I hate them, I tried them, and I still hate them. @__@ They're so confusing. And I guess people use them because they're scared they'll mess up, but everytime I mess up, I just incorporate teh mistake into my drawing. xD Your picture looks fine with or without layers though! xD GOOD WORK! She's pretty! And green hair! xD LOL!

Someone at deviantArt told me layers help fill in those little dots I usually miss. I think it did help with that, but the pic took like, twice as long.

i hate a love the layers in photoshop >_<!!

used to use one for each color like you did here. lol. now i use... about a billion... depending on many coloring variables... >_>"" and i still cant keep track of what each layer is XDDD they're all labeled "layer 1. layer2 . layer 3. etc." pfft.. not much help.

but for 8 layers... oohh nice! better than me anyway. XP

Yeah me too. I often color/draw on the wrong layer. D:
But I have found out the layers can be renamed! :D So I named them like, "pink", "blue", "green", ect.

Thank you~! Sometimes I really like the look of coloring pencil, but it's pretty tiring.
