Dying Clockwork

On the outside, she's a happy person: she listens to what people tell her, she has a purpose in life, and she tries her best to live up to people's expectations, but on the inside, she's crying, crying because she knows she's becoming a mechanism, a tool to mirror the image that people expect her to be, slowly fading from her identity; only because she can't give herself a purpose while everyone else is busy giving her one. She is no longer human, no longer something that can live on her own accord, but now something dependent on the roles of others, something that has to be wound, like a clock.

I must say, I love this picture. It's so simple, yet it says so much all at once.

I love interpreting symbols, and I can usually come up with a description like this for pretty much any piece of work almost immediately, but pictures and music are by far the most fun to work with in this sense. Unfortunately, my ability for creative writing seems to balance out my ability for creative speaking (you should see me give an oral report about a story I write. It's like someone had the strange idea to put a mute button inside my vocal chords when my grade depends on it).

That's a sure talent there, how cool! :D

The nose you have right now actually looks pretty good! JUst darker brown colors around the edge would have "defined" it. It took me forever (I might still have trouble...;-;) getting noses right too.

I still cannot get toes right, but think you can do those already!
