HUNDREDTH.

O MAI GAWD GAIS. I MADE IT. AFTER FOUR-AND-A-HALF YEARS, I FINALLY, FINALLY EFFING MADE IT.
Yes sir/ma'am. I, Shey, after being a member of FAC for the aforementioned amount of time, now post my hundredth picture. I know. I take my time about my art. Anyone who ever requested something from me knows this.
Anyway, in celebration of this landmark feat thing, I have decided to draw myself, being triumphant, surrounded by 100 Chimi Moryo. Since 99.9% of you are, at this moment, wondering what in God's name a Chimi Moryo is, then I shall tell you. They are small nature spirits, integrated into pebbles or leaves, from the Shaman King anime and manga. They make only brief appearances in either, so even SK fans may not know what they are. If you would like to take a look at the original Chimi Moryo, then watch Shaman King episode 21 OR, since they're quite hard to see in the anime (not to mention the voice acting is annoying as all get out) then read Shaman King book 8. Hell, read the entire series. You won't be disappointed, unless you're into undead high-school romance crap. Okay, not even gonna get into that... SO, I drew myself and 100 Chimi Moryo, and let me tell you I have seriously overworked my right hand on this one. I'm surprised it's still functional.

Four years and half-a-year ago I was surfing the web for pictures of Ren, because, you know, he's sexy and stuff. And just when I was running out of places to search, like a shining sparkley beacon of hope this website emerged from the fog and... okay, way too dramatic. I freaking joined the site. What more do you want me to say?
So, a long time and a lot of hand cramps, rubbed-out erasers, and barely-started projects later, here I am, a lot older and, hopefully, a lot better than I was when I first logged on to FAC.
I would like to thank Hiroyuki Takei for inspiring me so much, and for creating the adorable Chimi Moryo. And for creating Ren. He's badass.
I'd also like to say thanks to my friends on this site, and to anybody else who's had to put up with my random lengthy disappearances over the years.
And I'd like to thank my Mom, who bought that shirt for me. No, I don't live in Boston, in case you're wondering, you sick pedo.

This is, hands down, the most complex picture I've ever drawn. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out, with a few minor exceptions. I did try my best to make each Chimi Moryo have different features than all the others, and be put into different poses. Also, though they are all the same shade of blue in the anime (which might be why they're so hard to see) I used the magic of colored pencils to make each of my Chimi Moryo a different shade of blue, cuz that's HOW I ROLL, YO. I did mess up on one thing: each of the original Chimi Moryo has its own features specific to one animal. For instance, if it has a wolf's head it will not have wings, or if it looks like a bird then it will not have horns or antennae. Okay, so I broke the rules a little, since I have both a bird with horns AND a winged wolf. Naughty me. To be truthful, most of my Chimi Moryo aren't even based off existing animals. I pretty much made it up as I went along. My list of wrongdoings just never ends.
Yes, I have braces. The orthodontist done crippled my teeth. I tell you, eating Halloween candy for the past two years has NOT been as enjoyable as it should be, since I have to be so careful in order to avoid breaking my braces, which I've done two or three times so far. And yes, I also have yellow teeth. Yes, it IS gross.
Has anyone else noticed how my wings keep getting progressively scrawnier lately? Huh. Wierd.
