I woke up one morning and remembered I had yarn sitting in the corner of my horrifically chaotic living quarters, aka messy bedroom, which hadn't been touched with needle, hook, nor human hands in a fair few months except when we moved. "What to do with it?" I wondered. Then it struck me. Bleach! XD You know how each captain has a white haori that has a color inside and an insignia of the captain's squad on the back? I figured I could do it with wristbands! (I actually had to go out and buy the white yarn, though...I don't use white much. ^^')
Right to left: Squad 13, Squad 8, Squad 10. Of course I had to do Toushirou's haori colors - it was his haori that gave me the idea. Plus, I was trying to get rid of all my green yarn. I might have to buy more yarn, though, 'cause I might sell these on Etsy and people like more captains than just Toushirou, Kyoraku, and Ukitake.
I used a different method on each of these. On Ukitake's (13) first I single-knot-stitch crocheted, added the insignia and then double-knot-stitched it closed. On Kyoraku's (8) I just single-knot-stitched the whole thing and used the yarn needle to sew it closed. On Toushirou's I knitted one row, purled the next, and so on and used the yarn needle again.
