Description
After my holiday I'm finally back and ready to join the fun!
I made this pic for the "foundation of state" celebration of my fatherland and I submit it especially on this day.
The coat of arms in the middle was official symbol of the country from 1890 to 1915. Under the crown of the king St. Stephen (who founded our state in 1001) there are the coat of arms of the former co-countries from the red-white checkered field (right above) clockwise: Croatia, Transylvania, Fiume, Dalmatia and Slavonia. In the centre, there's the Hungarian coat of arms, which is now our present one.
In the original version there were two angels who kept the crest, but this time I've changed them to Mary and Susan from Johnny Test.

This is the first time I see the Hungarian coat of arms and I must say it's really interesting and much more complex than the polish one (which is simple - white eagle on a red background)I really like all the details on your drawing and the idea to replace the angels by cartoon characters!alitta2 on August 19, 2008, 10:24:09 PM

Thanks! Well as I wrote it was our former one, the present coat of arms looks like the one in the middle with the crown above. And yeah, I've seen the polish one. I guess there's a crown on the eagle's head and a sword in its hand. Am I right?

Yes, now there is a a crown but during the period of communism the crown was removed, probably because of it's connection with monarchy and aristocracy.
