FSR Tarpan 237D - Bday gift for WH2007

It seems that I won't be able to submit pics as regularly as I had planned because of studies in college (I was too sanguine I guess). Despite of this, I'll submit more when I have some free time.

About the car: It's a Tarpan 237D pick-up, that was produced in the city of Poznan from 1978 to 1991. Many parts of the vehicle were used from the car Polski Fiat 125p, for example its indicator light. Although it was never exported, it was very popular in its homeland, and many of them are still in daily use.

Classic car fans in Poland really love this car - it's so original and pretty rare nowadays. The factory switched it's production to military 4x4's. It's named after the Polish breed of mountain horse.

I totally love the little details. The car has a Cracov number plate. The shop in the background is infamous Biedronka XD

I'm glad that you've spotted the Biedronka store in the background, I tried to put a typical Polish store there and I only found that one on wikipedia.
As far as I could detect, its slogan means "low prices everyday", but please correct me if it's wrong.
BTW, I've heard there are some CBA stores in Poland. Originally it's a Hungarian company, that expands in Eastern-Europe. Are they common in Poland, or there's only a few of them?

Yes, you're right in means "low prices everyday". The name "Biedronka" means just "Ladybug". It was used as a hilarious joke in their commercials - the guy was saying that he was eading a "ladybug jam" or "ladybug meat" XD

I haven't seen any of the CBA's in Poland yet, maybe they are in another region. Anyway, the name CBA may sound a bit strange - it's reserved for Central Bureau of Anti-Corruption. It's what would have been if FBI or CIA store was opened in New York XD

Well, the name of CBA is an inverse of ABC, that was widely used for all Hungarian grocery stores in the socialist era (because you could buy anything from A to Z, as they said :P)
The other name for them was Közért, that is the shortened form of Közösségi Értékesítő (company of Public Realization), and it has turned to be a simple word for grocery store to present-days XD
