Actually the idea came from an experience when I tarveled with my family to Greece with a Slovakian Tour Office's bus back in 2007, because the guy, who Flaco's character is based on, was from the Hungarian minority of Slovakia, and he spoke with the Hungarian passangers through the microphone (and in a speech with a few of us at short breaks). The other guy, who Hombre's based on was a full Slovak however, and he spoke with the Slovakian passangers.
Anyway I found out that there was indeed an American minority in Mexico in the late 1800's and early 1900's, mostly in the states near the border and Baja California, but most of them went back to the U.S. by time. However I imagine there were some that stayed in Mexico, so such situation that's with Flaco might still exist :D
