Ja ne, I used to be a bit off with this show because, frankly, the Guardians and Caleb irritate me no end (cliche, anyone?) and the plot seemed a little strained.
Then I saw Cedric, our good old Naga-Human shapeshifter, and I decided to stick around a bit. (I actually missed the first couple of episodes, so I saw Cedric do his Naga-morph thing and thought he was the main villain before I ever saw Phobos)
When I saw Phobos' hair, though... I was dead. Holee crud! All that hair and no split ends! What magic can do for a man :3
What can I say? Blonde mages with naga doges just do it for me.
