draconian yakota (the volcanic yakota)

another draconian species the yakota is the size of a medium sized dog and acts very much like one they make very loyal pets and in the wild hunt in packs there are several subspecies varying on habitat and each subspecies has different abilities that helps them survive in that habitiat the volcanic yakota lives in and around volcanos and is immune to the immense heat they have even been known to swim in the molten magma there skin is usually burning hot as a means of defense but they can control it's temperature so that it is not impossible to pet them also as a means of defense the tips of their tails are always on fire. exactly how they accomplish this feat is not known like all yakotas the volcanic yakota has 3 paires of fangs 1 pair holds venom that when injected burns like lava . the sails on the back and tail are used for temperature control, courtship displays, and even for gliding on thermal updrafts making it one of the very few yakota subspecies that is not entirly bound to the ground
