before tygonia was attacked celestia was one of the kings most trusted advisors and tygonia's head religous leader teaching the inhabitants of tygonia about yesune the white lion their creator after tygonia was attacked she and the other surviving tygonians went into hiding in a maze of underground caverns where they have remained for the past 18 years in that time celestia became their leader still continuing to teach them about yesune and promising them that someday he would rescue them and tygonia from the invaders
