Sorry, I can't help but critique this! Its really nice, but there are some comformation problems I see. I've been drawing horses, as well as riding them, for years, drawing for over ten, and riding for almost the same! This horse, I see, has what we call a parrot mouth, which is where the uppper jaw greatly protrudes over the lower. The neck, I see, is too thin. Necks are thick with muscle, and VERY powerful. I LOVE the ears, however. ^_^ they are very cool. The jawline, however, should be squarer. I tend to use referance, whether it be my own horse or that of a magazine, and you will see what I'm pointing out more clearly. The eye is a bit too small, but its not bad. Ears, eyes, and nostrils on horses are large and acute to preditors. The profile from the eye to the nostril just seems a bit too unrealistic. only arabians have any kind of prominate dish, and it occurs further down the forhead.
anyway, sorry to be such a nag, I'm trying to help ya. ^_^ don't be afraid to use refreance. ^_^
good job, especially if its a first try!! keep it up!
