Well this is Misty (Vampire when she transforms) after she has been pushed by Thomas.

It doesn''t mean that there is no one left in that is good in the forest (Lyxe and Jack are in there :P ), but as the whole book is based on their fight for the Recwins survival its saying that there is not many people left in the world who has mercy and can accept people for who they are, not blinded by prejudice.
