I love this picture, it was fun to make, but the guy... oh man, it doesn't matter how many time i look at it he creeps me out. Yes, i did draw it in the first place, it is meant to be that creepy, but still...
hm, her hand is slightly off, but it was hard. ;)
The tears choked in her throat as she tried to speak, no noise came out. Rian nudged her, and she couldn't forget his instructions, 'be convincing, tell him it like you mean it, if it is not so convincing that i believe it myself then Jack's dead. One slip up, one mistake, or hint that you are lying then we wont hesitate, don't try and silently tell him anything, we aren't stupid.' Lyxe froze at her expression, and Rian's hand gripped tighter on her wrist, a warning. She swallowed the tears as best she could and spoke, trying not to let her voice shake,
"Lyxe, stop, just don't come any closer." He stared at her from the meter between them. Her heart thumped its last beats before it was broken, for some reason the enemy wanted to break her and Lyxe up, and she thought she knew why. They were the two most powerful Recwins alive, and they were together, as a team, therefore nearly invincible, to stop them they had to cut the bond between them. Lyxe narrowed his eyes,
"what is it baby? What's wrong?" She took a deep breath and forced the words out as hard and cruel as she could, her only option, if she wanted to save Jack.
"Lyxe, it's you, I've had enough, I don't want to be with you anymore, I can stand it, you have no idea how much it took to pretend all that time just to not hurt your feelings. I've now made my decision, I found someone who i can truly be with and its not you, so don't make this into a fight and leave. Quietly, please." The words were cold and firm, but on the last one her voice cracked and her eyes pleaded, so deeply for him to understand, but he didn't, he only saw the pleading as to rejection and his whole body froze. His eyes took on a million different emotions in a second until they stopped at cold, dark hatred. He glared at her with such a ferocity that she was sure she was burning with it, she clenched her fists, trying to hold back the tears. Her heart cracked as the true anger in her eyes bore into her soul, it hurt, more than anything to have that look thrown at her, it would have from anyone, but him, that cut her, deeper than any scar. She shook with faintness, but a cold steady hand gripped her left shoulder, holding her in place, Rian. Lyxe eyes bolted to the hand, then back to her face, then to Rian. He spat, and his anger leaped out. He stared to take a step forward, and his transformation into his powerful elf form began. She didn't wanted to fight him, she couldn't, but he would attack. She had been so convincing that if she from 10 days ago had watched herself at that lying moment, she, herself, would have believed it.
"NO! Don't -" but he cut her wail off with a shout,
"FINE!" And there was pain, horror and terror filling his voice now, so much of it that he seemed incapable of knowing what to do, his fists balled up and his whole frame shook.
"FINE! Whatever, I don't care. Pretending so you don't hurt me? What's this then? This sudden 'enlightenment' doesn't hurt? No, your right, it doesn't hurt, it crushes, it rips me up inside, it that good enough for you?" He choked, unable to put enough hatred into his shaking tone.
Then he turned, and fled. She watched him go and sank to the ground, tears now washing her face, her agony ripping her up, and with every step he took, it sent another crack though her heart...
