The Red Umbrella

Description
I can't say this was based on the painting, "The Red Balloon" (not the movie, the painting), because I've never actually seen it. It was more inspired by the piece by Anne McGinny, "The Red Balloon" (which was itself inspired by the painting). "The Red Balloon" is a slow, flowing piece. I played it on alto saxophone in the All-City Band earlier this year and was inspired to do this.
And, uh, this was sort of an experiment. I've never used charcoal before. Forgive my amateur-ness.
Artemis and Butler are charcoal but the umbrella is watercolor.

this looks very nice. I've worked with charcoal and can easily say its my absoulute least favorite way to work. but my mom still has the picture framed in her house so i suppose it did'nt turn out too bad. Big thumbs up for this.
