I think it looks just fine. There's nothing wrong with drawing it in your own style. That's what we do as artists. We have our own styles. And that's what fanart's all about. Drawing the original characters in our own way. Just look at the differences between the manga and the animation. Sheesh.
Anyhoo, I really adore the colors you used on her skin. It really looks great. And the cross hatching makes a really nice effect on Serenity's dress, along with Sailormoon's skirt. I really like how you used blue to shade for white. Very nice job ^^

unlike moonlady, i love the fact u draw it with ur own style. sticking to the original style is too boring. i think this is great

I don't think the heads need to be bgger! Any larger and they would be way out of proportion! I think you did an awesome job, better than the actual manga! (I hated the art in that!)

I like this picture a lot!! The coloring looks great, even though you said it looks messed up in the scan :> I like how you color with hatch marks. :o It makes the shading and tones of the colos look really cool. BTW, why do people have to be such nazis about Sailor Moon?... Things are open to interpretation. The animators of the cartoon usually drew this compact as a heart with a moon in the middle... I guess they were "wrong" too? :P And why is it okay for people to make up their own Sailor Soldier or their own forms of Sailor Moon, but not to draw the existing ones differently? @.@

*sigh* yes, I can understand the stylizing thing I suppose. I understood that on some level, I just needed to rant. But, since it's your own style, might I suggest making the heads slightly bigger?? They're a little small compared to the bodies in my opinion. Nnnnh... Sailor Moon's eyes still look freaky tho.

Actually, i am very pleased of your honest comment. Thank you. Now why the hell would I flame you for that? You're words were golden to me. Yes, I totally would agree with your comments. But there is something I have to tell you. Yes, I know that her eyes are small and the chest and dress...that's because it's stylized, meaning I did it on purpose cuz i didn't want it to be a carbon copy of the real thing.

Ehhh.... *bites lip* okay, I'll be nice and say something good about the pic before I TOTALLY go off on you ( I'm sorry, it comes from too many years as a Sailor Moon fan, I'ma gonna hafta yell)<br />
I LOVE the coloring, I can understand the PC scanner problems and I can see how it actually looked. I love the coloring on Serenity especially, it's wonderfully shaded. <br />
Okay, I'm gonna rant your head off now. <br />
GGAARRR!!!! Lookit what you did to them!!! I have NEVER seen Serenity in a dress like that and I KNOW Sailor Moon has NEVER had a locket that looked REMOTELY like that!! You'e messin up the first locket for the third!!! And what is with the proportions on the face??? The eyes need to be 3 times that size and the nose is WAY TOO SHORT!! ( You actaully did better then I have EVER done on the mouth, I'm impressed by that) and look at those odangos!!! They're itty bitty!! ( The balls of hair on top of her head incase u didn't know ) And honestly, I don't blame you for THIS, but what's with the chest??? I'm not ranting on that, I do it too, but why's it so big???? And Sailor Moon's boots are too short. aNd so is the hair. Serenity's hair went all the way to the floor practically. And Usagi's/Sailor Moon's almost reached her knees. <br />
Alright, I'm done. Sorry. I didn't mean to rant/flame. It really is a good picture. I'm just easy to annoy when it comes to Sailor Moon since it's my most beloved anime. <br />
