I did this for a penpal who also doeas cosplay...(SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG!)
. . . . *bleh* :p

Eventualy, this will be a series of tutorials: one for each of the three types of beads; how to string them togather; and how to attache them to the coat. :)
This one here will be the longest as it displays the basic idea. :)(that means I'm gonna reffer to this one in the others so they wont all get so darn long) XP

(ps) If you're using Internet Explorer, hit the "F11" key on your keyboard & it will lenthen your screen so u can see better. 0.0
If you don't use IE, try it anyway cuz it might work, I don't know.

TIPS ON HOW 2READ MY WRITING:
~ First and most of all, my spelling is atrocious...(I think) XD
~ lowercase 'h's have shallow arches & are often confuesed w/ capital 'L's.
~ 'W's and 'w's are always lacking on their far-right side. (kinda fade-y out-ish) ...And the same goes for 'M's and 'm's.
~ 'n's sometimes lack on the far-right too, and so -might- get confused w/ 'r's
~ 'r's are often confused w/ 'v's bcuz are lacking on the bottom and are also pretty small(though elevated).
~ 'u's are often confused w/ 'c's.
~ 'e's have tiny loops and are slightly rotated counter-clockwise(left).
~ 'a's sometimes have tapered tails, and are occasional a lil open @ the top.

tripletrouble3Ah. I understand.
(hold on, aren't they supposed to be white w/ the odd marks on the barrel???)

Where do you find the rocket engines?

blind_strangerNooooooooooooooo!!!!!!! There is an easier way! Don't use this one! It's a pain in the can and takes forever! >o<

I will post that for you; school just ended today, so I actually have the time now to keep all my promises, and reply around here more often... :-)

The new way takes only about 1/8th of the time it took me to make these, and it looks waaaaay better, trust me!

Currently I have 3 unfinished unknown coats; and I know I still have to post that pattern, but once I finish at least one of the coats, you'll actually be able to see what you're getting!

...I SO need to get an avi.... :p
