First Dance

it has been requested that I post the entire freshman farewell story up here so I stop confusing people by just posting bits and peices. So bog down and get ready to read. I know it's long, but you know you want to know what reeeeeally happened, right? So here we go. When I get there, I feel very pretty in my dress, but I feel shy and nervous because my friends have never seen me like this and I felt like I was on display. So I am standing there on the steps cause I don't want to go in alone. I'm looking for Austin really, him being my date and all. So I see a car pull up and it's behind the pillar thingy so I can only see the very front of it. Chang gets out and I get excited because Jabez had to be with him and he's one of my closest pals and then I wouldn't be alone! So he comes around the corner like a scene from a movie cause the setting sun hits him and he looked very nice I must say. I smiled nervously at him and he smiled nervously back. I supposed he felt weird too. So we walk in together and find some random people (ex: Sabrina, Kristine, ect.) but no one I know very well so I am still really nervous (why? I don't know.) FINALLY Jazz shows up and she looks even more uncomfortable that I did and so I felt a little better but I didn't toatally relax until Greekie got there. So we go inside and watch the slide show and Austin is STILL NOT HERE. So I'm thinking he probably got cold feet and stood me up AGAIN. So I turn to good 'ol Jaja and say "Hey, if Austin dosn't show up, do you want to be my date for the evening? And he gave me a funny look but said "Sure." and so we danced a little bit and then we sat down and talked to Norman (I intend to work everyone into this story of wrath and tears....and pie) and he said "So did u come with Sabrina?" and Jabez goes "No! If Austin dosn't show up, I'm here with her." (me...duh) so we were having a nice time. Not, thirty minutes into the dance Austin shows up in his band uniform and it was strange and anyway so we dance some more and a slow dance comes on. Austin isn't around and Jabez asks me to teach him how to dance and so I said there isn't much to learn and so we danced. Apparently we were a cute couple (says everyone we see) and we had a really good time. It was like a "I think there's something there that wasn't there before" moment. So I look over and Austin's dancing ith Lo-J so I think it's be okay to just keep dancing with Jabez. So I hang out with him most of the night and it was alot of fun (I have compleatly forgotten poor austin...geeze, I am just a terrible person.) and so In the second slow dance, Jabez goes "You have got to dance with your date AT LEAST once!" and I was like "What? OH! Right!" So he spots him and says epiclly "Go now." it was like a cheesy romance movie moment. So I danced with Austin for like, the last three seconds of the song and then it was over. I was like *sweatdrop* "Sorry!" and he looked all sad and said "No big deal." Then the EXACT SAME THING happened AGAIN (wow, dejavoo!) and I felt even worse. So I come up to him again and was like "Err, want to dance?" and he's like "I've been wanting to dance all night!!!" and I was like "..." *run away* but I stayed and said I was really sorry and had NO IDEA how to explain how all this happened and he said "Just go dance with Jabez. He's your real date anyway." and he walked away. So now I feel like scum, but I talk with my pals again and sort of forget about it for the time being. I was talking to greekie about Jabez and I said "Without the tie and with his shirt unbuttoned like that, Jabez actully looks kinda sexy." and she said "Well with such a low-cut dress, I bet he thinks you look kinda sexy too." And later on Jabez said I looked like a covergirl...hehehehe. And then Morgan ran up and yelled "MOMBO!!!!" at me.... and then the night was getting less young so Jabez had to call home so we went out into the courtyard. I sat with him on a stone bench and waited while he called him mommy. I was feeling rather confused because I mean, it's Jabez! Alison says that we're "oddly suited for eachother". I'd just never thought of him that way before. Jabez hung up and was about to go inside aand I said "Wait!" and he turned and I was like "It's too hot in there. Lets hang out here for awhile."so we walked around in an almost empty water foutain and jumped on the benches like in the Sound Of Music (I am 16 going on 17) and had a good time. We also saw a wee lizard that was very cute. Then we went iside and danced together for two more songs (we're in heaven and graduation) and we sand along to graduation. "As we go on, we remember, all the times we, had together, and as we go on, from whatever, we will still be, friends forever!" and that would be a nice way to end the evening on such a happy note, right? Well, right after that I had that falling episode (read previous posts) and nearly died. And so I am a terrible person, I know I know. So pretty much a feel like this: ? Yeah.
