Another sketch book assignment. Ok, down here people adore this Cajun artist named George Rodrigue and believe his art is the greatest- well it is NOT. His art sucks and if I were to say that in front of any of my teachers or older adults I would probably get smacked or somethin’. *sigh* His most famous piece is the “Blue Dog” (as you can see). There was nothing else in the picture but a plain, solid colored background and that was it. But what we had to do was take the Blue Dog and place it in our own environment. I despise this artist with a fiery, burning passion, so I decided to put it in a graveyard, well, a dog cemetery. As I was finishing up the coloring, my art teacher passed by and started laughing; she thought it was cute. When she stated that I looked at it a little closer and agreed—I really hadn’t expected it to look so cool. This picture is now meant to be humorous or convey my displeasure of Rodrigue. I hope you agree also. Oh and this was my first time using perisma colors on a large scale, so my coloring in this picture is a little funny—I know.

This is awesome! And morbidly cute. I love the bat and the crow, and the little angel thingies flying in the background. And the dogs, of course, look awesome. Amazing job!
