I'll use Tania's own words to describe her.

I'm writing in this book for a reason I can't think of right now.  I've just left my home in a rain forest for a life unknown to me.  I guess I should tell you my name and start from the beginning.  My people called me Wind Chaser but my mother named me Tania.  I'm a guide, the lowest of the low class, treated lower than dirt for all of my life.  Here, let me start this tale from before I had to flee.
