Very Nice shading!!! THe eyes are really good, just like the character in the movie. I would suggest a higher cheek bone, but this is very good anyway. I like the nose. :)

Gah! Awesome... I don't like LOTR, either, but this is pretty cool. Only thing I can think of to make the hair better would be to take a kneaded eraser and put some highlights in it. :)
