Description
This is Taro, from the world's first survival-horror game (allegedly), the Famicom game Sweet Home.
For those not in the know of this game (AKA just about everyone), Sweet Home is a Japan-only game based on a movie. (Or was the movie based on the game? No one knows for sure.) Either way, Sweet Home follows the story of a news crew venturing into the mansion of a famous artist, to find and photograph the artist's famous frescoes. However, like any decent horror game, paranormal happenings begin to occur. This gem of a game went unknown for many years, until the year 2000 when an online group released an English translation of it for the Internet to enjoy.
Anyway, Taro is among one of the five news crew people who went to find the frescoes. He just has to photograph them when they've been found. For some reason, the movie version has him using a video camera, which is odd, because the game seems to show he uses a flash-bulb camera, which would be a rather odd thing for a video camera to have.
Oh, and one last thing to add: Taro's actual name is Taguchi, but the translators had to shorten it to Taro because "Taguchi" wouldn't fit.
