panini's story part 2

Smiley convinces endive, through use of his seductive presence(to endive anyway) and showing her his power, that she nolonger needs panini and that "apprentices drag you down" as he says. long story short, she gets kicked out moving the plot along
smiley is saying " apprentices just drag you down, i can provide 8 times the services she can and i'll work for minimum wage or lower "
