Rain...

I lay hypnotized, <br />
As the pouring rain<br />
Caresses me in the vast darkness.<br />
Each tender drop is music to my ears.<br />
Every plunge into a dark puddle<br />
Sends little ringlets out,<br />
Each one like a tiny finger,<br />
Reaching, trying to grasp the unknown.<br />
The quiet drumming lulls me to sleep,<br />
As I lay in anticipation.<br />
The soft darkness soothes my fears,<br />
The low drumming of each drop<br />
Echoes through my mind.<br />
On this dark, lovely night,<br />
Only those listeners who are true<br />
Will hear the creator's magic song.<br />
