Checking out some Wheel of Fortune configurations, I recently noticed the configurations from 1970s looked strikingly similar to the configurations from the early 1980's. Some values were switched around, raised, or lowered. Here's the round 1 wheel with the color scheme and structure as the 1979 wheel with values from 1978.

KirbytI got a question. Since what year did the Lose A Turn wedge change from white to yellow?

When I'm watching it, I see that it's white all the time.

germannameActually, yellow was the old color of Lose a Turn from when the show premiered in 1975 to 1996. When Wheel introduced the current Jackpot round (there was an older Jackpot round back in the daytime 1987 episodes) in 1996, the color of Lose a Turn changed from yellow to white in order to have enhanced contrast with Bankrupt.
