Here's another idea I came up with. In response to the placement of the Million Dollar wedge on November 30, 2009's episode of Wheel of Fortune, I have decided to make a collection of various instance where wedges have been placed where you never thought you'd see them.
This wheel is based off of the 1991 round 1 wheel, although many of the misplacements have occured before or after 1991.
1996: For the first couple weeks of Wheel's syndicated 14th season (1996-1997), the $10,000 space was covering the sole Bankrupt space. This would be until the Jackpot round premiered a couple weeks after the season started.
1989 & 1994: Seen in two episodes (one from late 1989 and one from Season 12), the Free Spin disc was seen covering the 8 in the $800 space. These were the only two episodes where it was placed on this spot.
1992: The Suprise wedge covered round 1's top dollar value of $1000 on October 26, 1992. It was picked up and won that very round!
1989: In a nighttime episode from early 1989, a ring valued at $2725 was placed on the blue $300 space instead of either of the two blue $150 spaces (note the blue $500 on this wheel was formerly valued at $150 and was the normal placement for a prize from 1987 to 1989).
1991: In a January 1991 episode where Tricia Gist temporarily replaced Vanna as the letter turner, a trip to Calgary valued at $3642 was placed on the pink $250 instead of the blue $150 right beside it.
