Make Poverty History

I support make poverty history and did quite alot of stuff for it because my teacher at school is into it. She got the whole school white bands and our class did an assembly about the white bands and poverty. Brill pic!

WOW so many comments! I couldn't read them all. This is a great cause. If food companies would produce the most they can and not waste it, we wouldn't ever have a food shortage. We would be enough food for the whole world and more. I have raised money through Unicef for iodine and food shortages around the world. Great message. *goes and buys white MPH band*

I was at the Live8. It was wonderful. I wear my ONE band every day. XD
But the whole point of the concert was to aware people the a child dies every 3 seconds of a disease that cant be cured in Africa. So thats why they want to do it again. The 8 leaders came together to help the Africans. Which became G8. So I told people about this too. Which is weird. We both came together and started it...and we didnt even know. Well anyway, go to

I do agree with people who say that animals need saving too. Anyone who knows me knows how much I care about them. And yes it something should be done about it. I do support stopping cruelty to animals. It's just this year there has been a huge push to save africa so I'm doing this right now. But I do love animals and any one who hurts them needs to be shot!!!!

I also must agree with NoFace...THE ANIMALS ARE LIVING THINGS TOO *I luv animals ^^* I THINK WE SHOULD CONSIDER THEM TOO!!!

I mean i'd really like to see all the suffering in Africa stop, but as u said, the animals and trees and stuff would come first to me. If there was anything i could do to deystroy all the bastards(excuse my language, but im being passionate at the moment) that kill all the poor animals of the world. To me, an animals life is just as important as a human life, and nothing will change that. Anyhoo! Well, I agree with you. We should do something about this. But even though, there are other things that need to be handled first. What about, before saving Africa, saving the world?(Reminds me of Yu-Gi-Oh -.-) I think we have to first stop destroying the world we live on, then start thinking about saving the things that live on it. Wierd idea? Not really actually, not for me. If I had something to say, I would actually rather save the animals first. Sorry, this is really mean, but people are more then enough. And please don't come with that crap that animals have no feelings, or that they aren't important. I in my case feel more simpathie to those animals who die in our hand, the hand of human kind, then the humans who die by the hand of their own kind. I just descovered I agree with Mr. Smith from the Matrix!! We humans are actually quite alike with a virus...

OK, far to drastic, I know!! I need my medication...O, wait! I have no medication!! We're all gonna die!!!! =P

I'm so gunna draw my OC and Balto wear a white band. (the reason why I'm saying Balto the wolf is because I can't draw my fav chars. But I can draw wolves). Yay! this makes me remember at school last year we had to write a 150 word something(can't remember) about if we SHOULD send people into space or should we be staying on earth and saving starving kids. I wrote a 'something' (paper) on why we should NOT be sending people into space. And I still remember one of the things I wrote, or well I edited a few words. "There are still problems on earth! We should only send sattilites or that kind of junk into space for the time being until most of earth's problems are solved!! We need to feed the children of such coutries like Africa and Ethiopia!" (I added a bit too much, opps ^_^;) I'm so gunna ask my mum next time I go to the plaxa to look out for a white band. Soz if dis looks like a rant, nice pic too *favs*

I believe this must be a serious thing and I could support your cause if I'd understand it more clearly *makes me wanna pay more attenion to the world more* I know the Africans do suffer a lot and I do want to help them! I even studied something about Africans and AIDS and for those poor childen who get sicker and sicker. I think what your doing is GREAT and I'm a little fuzzy on the details but I can try to support this as well. I absolutly think this is a good start and put 're there!!

I know this isn't enough and I'm not doing just this. It's only part of it. But the whole point of Live8 is to raise awareness. I've supported this cause my whole life and will continue to do so. If there was more I could do I'd do it. But right now it's up to Tony and his little buddies. Let's just hope that they make the right decision. But as I have said I am proud that my country is pushing it so hard and fighting for what is right.

Jin, I don't want to sound a downer or anything, but just posting on one Internet page isn't enough. And I doubt most of us could understand what Africans go through each day. We live in a society that's trapped in it's prison of silk and gold. Things would definitely look different if we were stuck in the same situation as them.

Yeah, I love all you guys that agree with this. People in Africa need us to make a stand for them. The government have to listen to us. Like I said over 30,000 children are dying everyday for nothing. And how good would we all feel to be part of the genreation that abolished poverty? No matter how tough our lives get all we have to do is think of that little boy who wasn't chosen to go over the wall to the food and he sat and watched the others eat knowing that he was sentenced to death. Now if that doesn't make you act then nothing will. Our voices can save lives!!

Woooooooooo great picture I'm with you all the way I myself has purchased a Make Poverty History band! When I we getting mine I was reading Kerrang and was pleased to see Gerard Way (CUTE!!!) Duff (HOT!!) Scott Weiland Corey from Slipknot (which kicks major butt!!) Serj from SOAD and that guy from Feeder and that guy frim Biffy Clyro were supporting it as this will make many think about it as they a are role models but kinda makes it a bit bad because they may of only got one cos they saw a celeb they admire with one I was going to go to Live8 but then I got told I couldn't I had a Christening the next day which was a shame so a friend of mine went instead! But anyway getting side tracked I love the picture
