Midgar Ruins

The destruction of an empire with the fall of Midgar, but the old ghosts linger. High above the cityscape he watches, knowing his Midgar died long before Meteor descended and laid waste to the triumphs of man.


This was a surprisingly spontaneous project of mine. I received some calligraphy markers for Christmas and was compelled to try to shade with them. I started drawing Vincent, and before he was even finished I began coloring. He was overlooking something… and it became clear to me that it was Midgar after the fall of Meteor. It seems fitting that Vincent would haunt the ruins of his old life as a Shinra Turk.
