Afghan Girl

Don't ask me why I'm telling you this, but I have a thing for arabian girls... there was this one i knew back in High School and she just blew me away... They're beautiful people... for the most part, but every culture has its flaws.

The Afghan Girl was beautiful, at a time. I actually watched a special on the History Channel as a photographer tracked her down once again. I prefer to stick to the NG cover myself, Although her eyes are still utterly beautiful.

The realism isn't bad here, but the lips look too contrived, if you know what i mean. The eyes look pretty good. I don't really like the chunkiness of the shading, and the bubble letters kinda ruin it. Nice gentleshading on the face.

I have a 'Friend' (*Coughhatehercough*) who drew this..Or tried to.She can't draw for her life, but she thinks it's the best thing in the world.

You however, did a very good job ^_^

This picture was originally taken from an Afghan Girl by the team of photographers in National Geographic crew. The girl grew to be harsh looking, and she recently appeared in the National Geographic again. This time however, she had a veil and was broken from 3 child births and a suppressive husband. Your painting is beautiful. just simply beautiful. kawaii!
