JURACAN (Hu-ra'-kan'): Taino Storm god of raging hurricanes, the ill tempered, self centered brother of Yacahu (Supreme creator), who seeks to destroy his sibling’s creations. He pines for the love and attention Atabey (fertility goddess) heaps upon Yacahu... Juracan is greatly revered by the Carib (cannibal) tribes who warfare against the Taino Indians throughout the Caribbean islands. Juracan is hard to appease, quite belligerent and will often turn against his own followers... My depiction... I welcome your comments...
