Description
PERSEPHONE: The daughter of Zeus and Demeter a fertility goddess... Persephone is the wife of Hades... She became queen of the underworld when she was abducted and wooed by Hades... At Demeter’s discovering of her daughter’s where abouts, she prevailed upon Zeus for his intervention... Thus Zeus decreed that Persephone spend the spring and summer with her mother, but return to Hades in the winter seasons... Comments are welcome...

wah! this is also another story different from the one i know... What kind of mythology book do I read! >.< well anywayz i thought the mother was ceres and yeah she's not suppose to eat anything in the underworld, but when hermes came to get her... (because ceres begged zeus and reminded him of their past love) Persephone already eaten like 6 seeds of this fruit and sooooo 6 months of cold weather (mother's sorrow) and 6 months of warm weather (mother's happiness makes the grass grow???) well I like this pic alot, the serene really look suits her! n_n

Heheh, queen of the underworld. . . I never really thought of her like that, but she should be known by that title. One of my favorite myths, its also one of the most confusing for me. There are two types of the myth I read that totally is different from one another, and I could never know which one seems more. . . Well, interesting. Ha, Persephone looks so wise. . .
