Wow... this reminds me your earlier acrylic painting "Hover in Darkness", only more... purple. :)

How did you get those ripply effects?

christina! how are you? i've been absent for quite a while here on FAC. lotsa schoolwork to do. argh. anyway, yea it does seem to give you a feel of my previous painting. i think that's because i used the same technique (free association technique). i had a lot of problems though while creating the texture of this piece. XD i got those riply effects by swaying the brush on different directions. i used a big brush with thick bristles so that i could come up with that ripply texture. :D

I'm sorta dead at the moment... I've only been back at university a week, but the lectures are four hours long and we're there from 9am till 6pm, argh... anyway...

I haven't used acrylics in ages, and I haven't got any decent brushes either, but trying out that ripply effect looks fun. I'll try it sometime. :)

yes! try it sometimes. it might be messy but its FUN :D

Yeah, it's so frustrating not being able to draw much... I don't have a lot of stamina, so by the time I get home from uni I don't feel like starting artwork...
