Master & Pet (Manga Sketch)

I do a lot of "rough" manga sketches of quick ideas. I wish I could upload all of them, but many are so messy and old that I might as well mainly upload the recent ones. Sometimes, if the sketch feels decent after I draw it, I make it an actual project.

Master & Pet: In this world, "humans" have "pets" (humanoid cats, dogs, rabbits, etc) as companions for entertainment. It is just like real life except I felt people would understand the message more if the pets looked like humans. Many of us treat our pets as entertainment, but we leave them home and do not play with them and become disinterested after they "stop becoming cute/hyper." You do not give them much attention, and I feel there are smart animals that run away and become purposeful strays to avoid this lifestyle. 

My story is about Tomei, an elite human that can provide the necessary survival principles for pets, but out of all the elite and stray pets that want her, she wants the stray pet that does not want her, the rare Black Cat stray named Catrx who owns the dangerous cat gang in the slums. She eventually licenses him, but he spends most of his days outside, and they live different lives. Still, they are licensed as "master and pet," and they have many warm and defining moments as "master and pet." She also gets a dog (girl with bone) and snake (long silver-haired girl) which shows to Catrx that she has tolerance with many animals. He eventually warms up to her and gets angry when other animals/pets threats her. 

This was also black and white color manga-making practice with SAI.
