This is a scene from the story Deceiver's Stone. I'll just copy that part onto here:
Inuyasha: The short guy… Hiei. He said that you have the same feelings for me that I have for you.
Mikita: So?
Inuyasha: So, I know how you feel! I feel the same way! Doesn’t that matter at all?
Mikita: Look, I know where you’re going with this… and you’re wrong. You don’t feel how I feel.
Inuyasha: What do you mean?
Mikita: I guess I’ll have to spell it out for you: You love the mortal, not me. When she was trapped within me, you would look into my eyes and see her. It wasn’t my soul you were looking into. The connection deceived your feelings, just as it did mine.
Inuyasha: But that’s only how it was at first!

(She looks at him as if in a passionate way as she puts her hand on his neck.)
Mikita: Exactly. You say that’s only how you felt at first, but now it’s different. That’s a feeling we do share.
(She presses a certain pressure point on the back of his neck, causing him to flinch and lose consciousness. She lays his head down on the pillow.)
Mikita: That’s why we can never be, no matter how much we desire it.
(She strokes his hair with a slightly sad glow from her eyes and then looks angrily toward the sound of the crying baby.)
Mikita: There’s something I have to take care of.
I skipped the part in between there about Kagome talking to Mikita's baby. It's not Inuyasha's, it's Naraku's. Yeah, you can guess that it's an incarnation. Naraku took advantage of her by disguizing himself as Inuyasha and raping her. You'll have to read the story to understand. ^_^
Mikita does not end up with Inuyasha. Kagome does. I like that pairing, and it's intended in the series. ^_^
